idea

The client had a vision for their skin clinic that aimed to balance functionality with a welcoming atmosphere. Originally, the plan was to renovate a small bungalow, but the clients later expressed their desire for a brand-new structure. To achieve this, the old building was transformed into a composite structure by incorporating necessary changes and revamping the façade. The challenge was to create a space that felt warm and inviting, avoiding the sterile hospital vibe. The location in a bustling urban area added to the need for the clinic to stand out amidst the chaos and make a statement.

The design concept focused on using exposed brick for the outer façade, which provided a timeless charm and allowed filtered light while ensuring privacy. The interior materials consisted of wood and brass, complemented by soft pastel colors to add liveliness. Plants were strategically placed to enhance the ambiance and create a soothing environment. The overall goal was to promote a sense of calmness and peace.

build

The design process started with the Outpatient Department, where elements like beds, lights, storage, and curtains were organized in a clean and cohesive manner. Wood and brass elements were carried throughout the clinic, including doors and medicine displays. Mint blue hues were used in the reception and main corridor, while wall arts added creativity and personality.

Later, a first floor was added to address the need for more space. Mosaic tiles were introduced at working platform levels for durability and visual focal points. Wooden strips maintained a cohesive look, and different coloured mosaics were used in each space to evoke different feelings.

Overall, the design successfully achieved a balance between functionality and aesthetics. Practical solutions and durable finishes were incorporated to create an environment that is visually appealing and conducive to the efficient operation of the skin clinic.
