idea

The workspace was conceived as a bright, contemporary, and light space. The workspaces overlook an open central space which is meant for leisure and is equipped with the flexibility for one to play indoor games or have a short session of group physical activities, aimed at boosting work productivity.

One of the requirements for the workspace was to use full glass partitions to have all spaces lit naturally and to feel maximum connectivity between all spaces. The glass partitions and metal frames are super slender to give it a light feel.

The work tables are customized in a way that it provides maximum ease of working, use minimal material, and looks light due to slender support structure.

The client’s love for plants gave us an impetus to incorporate as many indoor plants as possible and also to plan the tree with a maximum green cover.

build

The material palette consists of wood in the form of finger jointed board for table tops, veneer for storage shutters, wood strips in panelling, wooden planks in the central ceiling and wooden flooring in key spaces. So wood lended a very warm tone to the space. Along with that metal was used to form the structure of the workstations so that it feels very light.

The bench-seat in the central leisure space of the office is designed in a way that it seats three people and has the capacity to seat five more with stools tucked under the bench-seat.

The work tables are designed making personal comfort as key where each desk is equipped with their own light, storage, drawer, foot rest and a perforated tack board for privacy and connection. The planter on one edge of the table visually connects and disconnects one from the central space as it acts as a soft barrier. The meeting spaces are compact and mirror each other. The tables are designed to keep  the space as free as possible by suspending the table from one side and giving it ground support on the other side.
